E 1.1.6 WHEN SHOULD ONE REPENT ?
1.RIGHT NOW: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE / DELAY REPENTANCE:
But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ Luke 12:20; 15:18
Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Matt. 3:2; 4:17
2.REPENT BEFORE YOU BELIEVE
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
3.REPENT BEFORE RECEIVING FORGIVENESS OF SINS
that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47. Mark1:4; Matt.3:7,8; Luke 24:46,47; Acts 2:38
4.REPENT BEFORE CONVERSION
Wiping away of sins and times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19
5.REPENT BEFORE RECEIVING THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM: Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
6.THERE IS GODLY SORROW:
Repentance with Godly Sorrow leads to Salvation 2 Cor.7:10
WHEN REPENTANCE HAPPENS :
Mary washed the feet of Jesus with tears Luke 7:44
Publican (Tax Collector) smote upon his breast indicating sorrow of heart Luke 18:13
7.CONTINUALLY – ONE SHOULD HAVE A REPENTANT ATTITUDE CONTINUALLY (ON A DAILY BASIS)
… work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philip. 2:12
Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Matt. 18:3
